G‑DRG and its Con­se­quen­ces for Pati­ents and Health­ca­re Workers

At the con­fe­rence “Public Health: For an alter­na­ti­ve stra­tegy. The pro­gres­si­ve respon­se to pri­va­tiza­ti­ons, the dis­mant­ling of the public health sys­tem, and ine­qua­li­ties” in Iraklion/Greece on 5–6 April 2025 (orga­ni­zed by Rosa Luxem­burg Foun­da­ti­on Greece and ENA) we had a dis­cus­sion with Alexis Benos, Yian­nis Kalo­meni­dis and Andre­as Xan­thos about the DRGs in Greece, which will from 2026 on be used as pri­ce sys­tem like in Ger­ma­ny. This gave rise to the idea of orga­ni­s­ing an event at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Thes­sa­lo­ni­ki on the topic of: “Hos­pi­tal Finan­cing in Ger­ma­ny. G‑DRG and its Con­se­quen­ces for Pati­ents and Health­ca­re Workers”
